When I was offered the chance to become a camp invention summer 2014 ambassador, I happily accepted. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not only do I get to do science with my kids and share it with you here at The Educators&#8217; Spin On It, but my daughter will also be able to attend the week-long summer camp!!! HAPPY DANCE!!!! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Better yet, with her best friend!!!! Double HAPPY DANCE!<span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><br>Her reaction to being told she gets to go to Camp Invention this summer: &#8220;YES!!!!!!!&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><br> <img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"265\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/theeducatorsspinonit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/DSC_0430.jpg\" alt=\"Camp invention summer camp\"> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Camp Invention Is:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>investigations<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>experiments <\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>engineering challenges<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Camp Invention is a week long summer camp for students entering grades 1-6. It is a camp taught by certified teachers that focuses on S.T.E.M., science, technology, engineering, and mathematics topics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each week teachers will introduce 4 challenges or modules and students will work in groups, which are rotated throughout the day to work on these modules. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.campinvention.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Click here<\/a> to see more about what a typical day schedule would look like. It is the kind of hands-on, minds-on learning that I want my child to experience.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/theeducatorsspinonit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/CI_RGB_Logo.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/theeducatorsspinonit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/CI_RGB_Logo.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong> A Team of the MINDS: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have been a teacher in a school that hosts camp invention camp and observed camp in session. &nbsp;Let me tell you, the kids are engaged. They are talking and building. You can look in the room and almost see the students brains in motion.
