Find out where he learned to write children&#8217;s books, what important topics he likes to write about, and more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following activity, <i>DIY Bunny Costume Headband<\/i> is a great way to tie literacy and life skills together into an at home project for grade school children. I supervise all sewing projects and help thread needles, otherwise, my 8 year old and 4 year old sew independently. Cut a green felt rectangle 23 inches by 3 inches. Cut 2 green ears, 2 small white circles, 2 tiny black circles for the pupils, 6 teeny tiny pictures for the whisker \/ freckles (not pictured below)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Pin closed where it would make the best fit for your child. &nbsp;Using a straight stitch, attach<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Story Extensions for Knuffle Bunny<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Story Retelling<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Now that you have made a Knuffle Bunny Headband, the kids can re-enact the story. &nbsp;One child (or you) can be Trixie, the little girl who lost her bunny at the laundromat. The other child can be Knuffle Bunny. &nbsp;It&#8217;s ok if your Knuffle Bunny speaks. Think about what his voice would sound like and what things he would say.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let your children explore their creativity in the story retelling activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&#8220;Where are you TRIXIE?&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8220;There is tooo much water in here.
