It&#8217;s a really fun <a href=\"https:\/\/theeducatorsspinonit.com\/back-to-school-stem-activities\/\" title=\"\">back to school STEM activity<\/a>! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Create opportunities that encourage your child to question and hypothesize&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My kids literally spent hours with my creating the bottles and exploring how they work. Using <a with the kids, which are just a few things and get started. &nbsp;I recommend filling the science sensory bottle &nbsp;in the following order to make the most out of this science experiment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1.<\/strong> &nbsp;Have your child fill one <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Voss-Artesian-4x500ml-Plastic-Bottles\/dp\/B00KFFAB7M\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;psc=1&amp;refRID=8KMQTPJSXW03M3AYATM0&amp;linkCode=ll1&amp;tag=thedsponit02-20&amp;linkId=ee3b0e6023b11270cf38f27531f890a5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">empty bottle<\/a> with water. &nbsp;Leave some airspace for the water to move around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2.<\/strong> Then add a few of the&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Crayon Buttons<\/a>&nbsp;<span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">into the water bottle. &nbsp;Screw the lid back on tightly to avoid spills and leaks. &nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3.<\/strong> Explore with the water bottle and crayon buttons and see what you can do with the buttons. &nbsp;Ask questions as your child explores their science sensory bottle &#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do they float?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do they sink?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Can you control where they go?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do you hear anything?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What is the density the empty bottle. &nbsp;My kiddos loved the air bubbles that were created in the process too. &nbsp;Be sure to leave some airspace for the corn syrup to move around with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5.<\/strong> Add a few&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Buttons-Galore-Crayon-Themed\/dp\/B019YKMU2C\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1472172281&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=crayon+buttons&amp;linkCode=ll1&amp;tag=thedsponit02-20&amp;linkId=2c68275fb62575247a968dfd9f7834ec\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Crayon Buttons&nbsp;<\/a><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">into the corn syrup container. &nbsp;Seal the container tightly to avoid spills or leaks. &nbsp;Ask the same questions again from Step 3.
