I know our school does Pizza Night before the Open House which is fun and at least makes it so you don't have to cook and be there. It will be very interesting as the majority of the states begin to adapt the Core Standards into their classrooms.

We have our open houses in three weeks. It will be our first time having to go two nights in a row now that we have two kids in school!
